Restore the Elegance

If you need a special gift for a special family member, consider giving one that will continue to touch their hearts in years to come! Restore new life into your old family photos.

Family portraits may indeed be a treasure from your past, but too often, time is hard on these special portraits. Compounds that make up a photograph are subject to chemical changes over time. Heat, light, oils from our skin all work together to hasten deterioration. Let us clean up the effects of time and bring back the beauty of damaged or faded portraits with digital photo restoration.

We also offer digital storage via photo CDs and DVD's which allows you to not only display and share copies of your cherished photos by email, but have a safe storage method for the originals as well.

Let us show you how an older family portrait can be made to look as good as new.

What will Happen to all those Digital Photographs?

The proliferation of digital cameras and the ability to take large numbers of images may result in losses of important family photos if your only storage media is the hard drive on your computer. Hard drives can and do fail.  There is also the potential for your computer to get a virus that can wipe out all those images stored on your hard drive. What can you do? We recommend that you have archival prints made of those important photos as well as copy them to hard media such as CD's or DVD's. If you plan to use one CD for image processing have a second copy as a back up. You also need to be aware that most inkjet prints will fade and do not have the same archival qualities as prints that come from professional labs. If you plan to purchase a printer do yourself a favor and spend a little more to get one that is recommended by the Wilhelm research center for it's archival qualities. It would really be a shame to lose Aunt Sally's photos.
